I don't understand the insistence on the early "start book" when we will inevitably have Start book v3.2 final FINAL.pdf

Let's be honest. The hype was always more about the fact that they were hot and popular on Instagram than material results.
You never saw the same promotion for South Korea, Japan, Philippines, or Indonesia despite also producing good lifters without systematic doping.

I understand from a commercial standpoint that promoting certain personalities will increase eyes on the sport. But also this celebrity culture and the weird parasocial relationships around them can turn quite sour.

We’re Italian: we have good food, a beautiful sea, and beautiful girls! XD

Jokes aside, I had high hopes for the continuation of a cycle that, evidently, seems to have already come to an end. The political and sporting future of the Federation is highly uncertain.

Another thing: reading Fleming's post, I realized that the time between the weigh-in and the competition has indeed been increased by one hour. Have there been any changes to the rules? What do you think?

Italy can be a nice place for most of those reasons.

Yes, there were talks of this change happening earlier this year. I think it's fine for international events but will present problems for running local events with volunteers. Sometimes when weigh-ins drag on a long time at international level, this can disadvantage the lifters who are not able to adequately rehydrate and get some food in.
