Second Filipino ADRV, this time John Febuar Ceniza (M61).

Victor Conte, passed away yesterday.

Although he didn't have much to do with weightlifting (as far as I know), his infamy in the doping scene was significant.

The very first Joe Rogan episode I watched and listened to was Victor Conte. His detailing of the entire BALCO saga and the world of doping in sport was extremely informative. After arrest by the FBI, the information he provided as an informant might have played a role in the developing of anti-doping practices world wide.

Starting out as a bass player for Tower of Power of all things, there are some doubts about what he really knew about biochemistry and how steroids interact with physiology. An interesting and infamous identify, I wonder when a movie will be in the works.

This is part of my gripe when NADO's issue platitudes about protecting clean sport. They cannot guarantee that other NADO's around the world are following the WADA code.

Filipino whereabouts ADRVs (Vanessa Sarno, John Febuar Ceniza)

Had it from a from a couple of sources that these ADRVs are likely not related to drug use but rather interpersonal drama. Supposedly neither Filipino weightlifting personnel, nor the Philippines Sports Commission knew where they were or were able to get in contact with either of them for quite some time. Supposedly, the subsequent sanction for whereabouts failures only happened after all of that had unfolded.

Stranger things have happened, but it's unfortunate for the Filipino weightlifting to have those two sanctions on an otherwise clean record.

Is it a good or bad thing there are no more positives at WWCs nowadays? I'm not sure tbh.

Kazakhstan's NADO publishes 4 domestic positives.

I was waiting for one of these positives to be published, I'm guessing there were some legal processes that delayed publication.
