Not sure how true this story is but someone could write a book just on weightlifting nationality switches and it would be pretty interesting.

I don't agree.
They're not uniformly low or high, they're just all over the place. Some of them will probably remain unbroken, like they did last time.
Others will be probably broken with in the first few weeks of their existence at Pan Ams.

Probably a medal contender come LA. Seems to me that the North Koreans will be too far ahead as it stands currently but the Chinese, Turkish and Thai lifters will all be solid contenders for those 2 medal slots.
