Ficco back though, so that's something. I love watching him lift.
Ficco is listed as Italian but is white Indonesian. I will not be taking further questions.
For the slow pull?

Which can boast the accolade of being the first major competition without IWF categories (they're still using the old ones).

The IWF has not learned to wait. Preliminary and final entries were fine, produce the start book when the event has started.

In all likelihood, I think many of the SLE entries will either not fly in, or disappear shortly after arriving. No judgement for the latter, power to them.

I hadn't thought about that.
Try to find anything WL related to a woman named Aminata Bah. I can't.

Updated start list.

No SLE as expected. I just hope they're seeking asylum or something along those lines and that they're not being trafficked.

Dominican Republic pulled out a few of their athletes. Venezuela not sending anyone. Sri Lanka pulled out lots of athletes but that is not unusual. They usually enter a lot more lifters than can afford to go.

Meso Hassona, Davitadze GEO, Delia ITA and a few other high ish profile lifters have pulled out too

Does anyone know where I can watch the competition? Weightlifting House streaming is not available in Italy.

P.S. Lots of great photos this summer from Delia, but not so many workout videos.
P.P.S. I'm very curious to see what Noemi Filippazzo will do. A former gymnast, she's done really well, training practically alone (100kg snatch at 59kg, I think). She was briefly on the national team in the past, but then she had a child and was sidelined. Now she's back and seems stronger than ever, so much so that she's "stealing" Chiara Piccinno's spot (who is still recovering from a knee injury).

48kg unremarkable. A session was a sea of reds.

Japanese and South Korean VPNs working well, Facebook's geoblocking is rudimentary.

Facebook streaming on the IWF page (all sessions, including A) or Olympic channel for A sessions.
