In a sea of erratic lifting, Yu Dongju was outstanding in the B session.
Lopez the only other one to improve their total from the top contenders. As the now injured Meso said, the 89's have already peaked.
I think we just saw the medalists for Paris. Although Li Dayin isn't fully fit, I dont think Keydomar or Nino can snatch enough to get there.

- Continental goes to NICHELE Jacqueline AUS. The NRU lifter UEPA Maximina (daughter of powerlifter Jezza Uepa) was close but unable to take the slot.
- EZE Joy Ogbonne NGR takes 11th (effective 10th, barring Fegue 71/81) with 239
- MISERENDINO Giulia ITA bombs
- LIAO Guifang looks worse than her last few comps, lacking rigidity in the trunk and shoulders.
- REEVES Olivia Lynn USA goes 6/6 with 112/115/118 + 142/147/150. Looked genuinely capable of 270+ on the day. Stiffness in both jerk dip/drive and the catch are much improved.
- DAVIES Sarah GBR, noted racist, unable to secure any whites on 139 for 12th (effective 10th with CHN/FRA removed).
- CHEN Wen-Huei TPE didn't snatch fantastically but was great in the jerk. 103x/105/108x + 133x/135/141.
- prk cringe as usual, likewise commentary

Its only the B session for the 102's, and as of this post they just finished the snatches. Another bloodbath. But Davranbek from Turkmenistan just snatched 187 (a 7 kg PB) and is opening on 200kg which would be a 5kg PB.

So he ended up opening on 205, a 10kg PB and makes it. Tries 207 and can't clean it.
Meanwhile Don hit 221 on his 3rd attempt and finished with 391.
Bratu could only manage 378, so he gets knocked out of the top 10.
Before the A's start Wes Kitts appears to be in the continental slot despite not even lifting in this. Wait to see what Rivas does.

- B session had good lifting. HASANBAYEV Davranbek TKM 187+205 to qualify. OPELOGE "myocardial infarction" Don SAM takes three attempts to make 170, misses his first jerk and then jerks 221 to take 10th. TSIKHANTSOU Yauheni BLR makes 400, adding to a long list of 400ers.
- MATYAKUBOV Shahzadbek TKM unable to dethrone his teammate, snatches 176 but unable to secure a 217 jerk.
- KARAPETYAN Garik ARM wins a bronze in the snatch with 185, clean and jerks 216 for a 401 total and OQR #2. GASPARYAN Samvel snatched poorly and withdrew.
- LIU Huanhua CHN snatched ok, 175/181 makes, 186 missed but not close. Clean and jerk 220/225/232 for the first 102 C+J world record and first total WR on 413. Looks like a good contender for selection, and likely ahead of Elbakh.
- Many lifters bombing or pulling out. That's how it goes.
- RIVAS MOSQUERA Jhonatan COL looked like as physically beat up as a street hooligan in a Yakuza game
- Continental goes to KITTS Wesley Brian USA
- ITA boutta send a paraglider squad into turkmenistan, seriously

I wonder what Bud Charniga will say about Reeves's victory...

I asked around, he didn't attend the event despite having his name down on the media credential list.

Interesting, Salazar is only weighing in for the 81B session. She's still ahead of Dajomes after what happened at Pan Am's. She was injured, I gather she's still not in shape to lift anything like the 265 from the Grand Prix in Cuba.

- KIM Iseul KOR takes the Korean slot in the C session by snatching 115 and clean and jerking 140.
- LIANG Xiaomei CHN not looking in shape in the snatches. 110, 113x, 113. Jerk also poor, 140/148x/148x
- ZIELINSKA STUBINSKA Weronika POL snatches well up to 110 (+2) but unable to secure a jerk on 135 or 136.
- NASCIMENTO Laura BRA snatches and jerks well, 112+141 for 253.
- WANG Zhouyu CHN looking in reasonable shape but technically not there, 120 snatch looked hard, 125 second attempt shortened pull, 125 overcooked behind. Needs 165 to qualify, not possible. Gets nuked by 150.
- KIM Suhyeon KOR snatches 108 with soft elbows but gets away with it. 112 attempted, pressout. 112 3rd, better finish and makes the lift for 2kg PB. Needs 144 equal PB to take the KOR slot back. Makes it after jury deliberation, takes the slot for Tokyo.
- CIKAMATANA Eileen Floanna Maria AUS power snatches 110 on her opener. 114 second attempt had a big pull but loose overhead and loses it in front. Takes it again for a better attempt, successful. CJs on 145, 149 made well. 153 to overtake KOANDA Solfrid NOR on the OQR list not successful, couldn't secure it.
- VIBERT Kate USA snatches 110 well. Cuts the pull on 113 but strong enough to save it. Cuts the pull again on 116, which crashes on her and bounces out in front. Clean and jerks 140, 145 well. 151 loaded but too heavy to pull.
- DAJOMES BARRERA Neisi ECU snatches super well. 118/121/123 for a PB. Looked capable of 124-125. Jerked 143 for the slot, 146 for fun, declines the third.
