Solfrid seems to be on the road for gold, 150kg+ jerk, who can oppose that??
Now that her bodyweight is known (83.36), I will agree. Last time she had trouble cutting from a higher bodyweight but this should be more manageable. Dajomes will need to pull out something special to be competitive. Even though Sara Ahmed dodged competition, I don't think she has looked capable of the 270+ that the other two look capable of. Likewise with Cikamatana.
Of course, it's possible that someone gets injured close to the Games or under-performs, sport is full of uncertainties.

I don´t believe that Nina can medal, 4th place top??
We will have to see. China #1 by far, but I believe that medals will be decided by whomever can total 200 or more on the day. Delacruz has a reasonable chance but it depends on how many snatches she makes as she has been less technically consistent since after Tokyo. Cambei has a good chance as well. I don't know enough about Khambao's shape to comment, but she has totaled 200. I would be surprised if Rira Suzuki can break 200 at this competition, I think she will need another year or so.
Given Sterckx's performance at 52 BW, I don't think 200 is impossible if she happens to cut really well. But I think she has less of a chance than Cambei, Delacruz etc.
I don't think Mirabai will reach anywhere near 200, I think she will place 7th - 10th with something in the 180s. She has been chronically injured, with a shoulder/wrist/back within the last 3 years and has recently had another shoulder injury. Physio should've taught load management or something.
My gut feeling is 1. CHN 2. ROU 3. USA

The next "Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games" were moved from 2021 to November 2024. Back then Thailand - which is hosting - was banned from WL events, so the organizers excluded it from these Games. However, it's three years later now... and it was (quietly?) reinstated with 7+7 categories. Last time (2017) many countries including CHN, UZB and IRI sent teams.
Commonwealth Championships just finished in Fiji, mostly unspectacular, however once again the performance of a young lifter from Nauru I think should be flagged for future reference.
Femily Notte is 15 years old and lifting as a F64, won the Silver at Youth Worlds earlier this year with a 90/111 performance. In Fiji she destroyed the albeit depleted field and went 6 for 6, 98/122 for a 220 total.
A big future.

Femily Notte NRU 98/122 is a good performance at 15. Good improvement over the last year or two. Likewise with Charlotte Simoneau CAN and Kwon Dae Hee KOR and Jr Worlds. I am not sure about Kwon but Charlotte has also been on a steady improving trajectory. Ella Nicholson USA did fairly well but will need to increase her CJ to really join the USA 76/81 race.

At the 105th Korean Sports Festival , Kwon Daehee followed up his JWC performance with 157 and attempted 205 but closely missed it. The bar was just a bit too far back in the jerk.

I spoke to one of the Sth Korean coaches on the bus at Junior Worlds and asked if Kwon would go to Senior worlds, he said that it depended on results at the Sports Festival. Sth Korea has 3 lifters entered at 81 and Kwon was silver ahead of Jeong Hansol so we shall see whom they select and send.

Chinese Autumn Nationals schedule. This is one of the qualifying events for the 2025 Chinese National Games (i.e. Chinese "Olympics").
