Technical chit-chat thread
Re: Technical chit-chat thread
They did. The Italian program seems to be a carbon copy of Badillo's method.Elle wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 9:12 am Still regarding the "Italian school", in this relatively old video Corbu talks about programming.

Re: Technical chit-chat thread
Is there an digital form of Badillo's work or is there any synopsis available? I see he's published Halterofilia in Spanish but it seems to be paper only and I wouldn't want to make someone translate 130 or so pages on programming. Some of his old papers seem to no longer have full texts available either.Guima73 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2024 9:16 pmThey did. Re: Technical chit-chat thread
I only have a pdf in Spanish. I also had a digital copy of one of his books on velocity training but i can´t find it anymore. According to other known spanish coach who i have spoken with, his methods weren´t very sucessful when Badillo was in charge of the Spanish team . I didn´t bother to check itstrapping wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 10:16 amIs there an digital form of Badillo's work or is there any synopsis available? Re: Technical chit-chat thread
I have the spanish pdf (https://we.tl/t-tR7ttBVFVu), you could upload the whole document to Google Translate and let it do the dirty job: it will make you download a new pdf, formatted like the original but translated.strapping wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 10:16 am Is there an digital form of Badillo's work or is there any synopsis available? I have other 2 books from him (not on weightlifting but on strength in general):Guima73 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 1:28 pm I only have a pdf in Spanish. - Fundamentos del entrenamiento de la fuerza. Aplicación al alto rendimiento deportivo.
- Bases de la Programación del entrenamiento de la fuerza
It would be nice if there was a private section here in the forum where we could exchange material!
Re: Technical chit-chat thread

Re: Technical chit-chat thread
As for the Spanish team, was it a problem of applying the method? Do the Italians make it work better?Guima73 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 28, 2024 1:28 pm I only have a pdf in Spanish. I'm not sure what approach to programming is used by the Italian team, though. If you listen to an interview it seems that there is a "classic" programming, with different phases. If you listen to other interviews the approach is much more extreme, with maximums every day or almost.
I have to spend those 800 euros for the second level course (+ travel and accommodation) to understand exactly XD

I really don´t know, maybe too high % ????Elle wrote: ↑Sun Sep 29, 2024 7:24 pmAs for the Spanish team, was it a problem of applying the method? Re: Technical chit-chat thread
A slide from the II level weightlifting course:
"A case of sural sharing
During the pulling phase, an early activation of knee flexor muscles leads to a reduction in pushing ability in weightlifters.
Avoiding lifting the heels during this phase allows you to extend the knee without simultaneously activating the leg muscles (I think it always refers to the knee flexors) and reducing the propulsive force.""
This is a slide I found on social media and translated. Surely they do a more complete explanation in the course.
I have never heard of sural sharing.
Do you agree with the theoretical idea behind it? It was being discussed on Charniga's thread.
