Daniel Godelli reporting that his B sample has been tested and his supplement was confirmed to have trace amounts of Ostarine. The latter claim is largely meaningless, but Albanian media appears to be claiming the B sample was negative. Awaiting ITA confirmation.

The never ending saga of Russian bans goes on. I can't even remember if this is from re-tests or from where the bodies were unearthed at RUSADA.

Either way, people in their 30's and 40's from a country that can't compete have bans finalized for doping from 12 years ago. I hope no more money than necessary has been spent wrapping this up.

If you're referring to the positives listed below, they're not new positives but rather finalisations of older cases previously reported in the thread.

I'm curious to know what the costs of this procession is, but I don't expect that per-lifter it is that much compared to ongoing testing. There's obviously no actual reanalysis being done given this is a LIMS case.

I know that the anti-doping costs that the ITA is charging the IWF are enormous, and a considerable portion of that is unnecessary travel expense which the IWF/associated personnel are in no position to contest.

As far as I'm concerned, the most effective strategy seems to be targeted OOC testing done far away from competition. Unfortunately, there are considerable travel costs with that.

Competition is a convenient way to test a lot of people, but I think many of the countries using drugs at the moment have figured out how to cycle off in time to avoid IC positives. Not to mention, a considerable amount of this information is publicly available if you know where to look and how to read it.

I can't remember Bonnat's case but as I understand it, Pakistan's sanctions were finalised months ago.

The violation date suggests this test was OOC after the 2024 Asian Championships. This now moves BIDANI Walid ALG 420 into 10th.

I was aware of Yufkin's result, hence *mostly*. There were other names I was familiar with, for one reason or another.
