Re: Chit-chat thread
I think it is an attempt to save face for both Kitts and CalStrength to stay in the good graces of USAW by going "see! I was not officially on any protocol according to the (grifter) Weightlifting Director of the Enhanced Games (who has never embellished any single claim of his in the last ~20 ...

Re: Chit-chat thread
Adding to the Enhanced Games nonsense: Ivan Rojas claims on social media that Kitts was not enhanced in the lead up to the event... which all I have to say is this.

Re: Chit-chat thread
We have seen better and more exciting domestic and B/C session competitions. I have no words to describe how bad the entire event was. No one seemed thrilled to be on the stage. There were no actual bodyweights listed, and to act that Leidy performed well by lifting 2kg more than she did 7 years ago...

Re: Minor competition thread
Liu Huanhua surprised me, I expected 190 to be an absolute limit on the snatch but it appears like it can be a consistent 3rd attempt or somewhat reasonable second attempt. Catching the bounce on the 230 was beautiful and I hope to see him make that an opening attempt in the future. I do not think h...

I'm shocked the jury did not interfere multiple times for some of that wobble.

Re: In memorium.
A loss I have dreaded for a while. Plukfelder had a profound influence on my training due to still being in contact with my coach on a regular basis. He had a direct hand in a lot of the exercises and periodization of my training since 2012. The man was a legend up until the day he passed. He was st...

Re: News
Lasha appears to be returning to training. Do we think he has any chance returning to 210+/250+ shape or is he washed up? Personally, I don't think he will return to form like we saw with his 225/267 lifts, but I think he may perform better (healthier?) than some anticipate. I believe the break afte...

Re: The Sanctions Thread
At this point, I think retests are pointless and lame. I am for improving the technology and sensitivity but to strip athletes of results many years later, and after retirement for many, is stupid. Use the samples to improve technology, send a letter of warning to the athletes and federations that t...

Re: 2025 National Games of China (November)
My hypothesis is that women's weightlifting is "newer," willing to adapt their training methods, and therefore not as beholden to any outdated ideas of how to train men in weightlifting since the 60s to late 80s. I read the statements of a Chinese coach (I don't remember his name) who comp...

Re: Ita Weightlifting Course
It sounds as if they are just including more variety in the training in order to train different qualities of the soft tissue and joint components then. That is usually the crux of any of the FP/Goata/Weck bros of why their methods seem to have some validity: you train movements and modalities that ...
